Teaching portfolio:
You will complete a total of eight teaching portfolio components (submissions) throughout this course, which will culminate in a teaching portfolio to be assembled at the end of the course. To derive the most value from this portfolio, it is important that you base your submissions on the area (field, discipline, or subject matter) in which you currently teach or would like to teach.
The fourth teaching portfolio component is based on the content discussed in Professor Rob Lue’s videos in this unit. Using this information around backward design and how it may be used in assignment creation, and any additional research you may conduct, you will need to create an assignment in which you:
- Identify the learning outcomes to be assessed;
- Detail the instructions students will need to adequately complete the assignment;
- Create the grading method and criteria that you will use to measure achievement of the identified learning outcomes; and
- Justify your choice of assignment and grading method.
To complete this submission, download the Teaching Portfolio Component document below, answer the questions in the spaces provided, and save your completed submission. Then upload the completed submission to the Online Campus for review.
